National Career Days
Date: 12–13.03.2009
Venue: Incheba Expo Bratislava

Celebrating its 14th year, National Career Days is the biggest fair showcasing career opportunities in Slovakia.  This info event will be held in order to provide students and entreprises alike with a whole range of services allowing both to familiarise themselves with the current labour market.

Internationa Festival of Francophone films
Date: 20–27.03.2009 11M. Medzinárodný festival
Venue: Palace Cinemas POLUS,  Bratislava

This 11th year of the International Festival of Francophone Films in Bratislava, FIFFBA, features the current best film productions of francophone countries.

Czech Slovak Beer Festival
Date: 22– 25.4.2009 
Venue: Mesto Trenčín, City Sports Hall

Over three consecutive days you will have the opportunity to enjoy Ivan Mládek’s Band, the Sherpa Band, Desmond and others performing throughout each day. The evening highlight is the „Beer dance party“ offering various musical and dance genres with midnightly surprises.

Festival of Mountain Films and Adventure „Mountain and City“
Date: 23–26.04.2009
Venue: Palace Cinemas and  Aupark in Bratislava

Here the audience will be offered the opportunity to watch adrenalin-filled and travel films with a mountain theme, visit traveller´s clubs with interesting lectures and image projections or attend several photo expositions. Kids can participate in rope activities and an indoor climbing race.  Outdoor equipment can also be purchased during the festival.

International Festival of Ghosts
Date: 29.4. – 3.5. and 6.5. – 10.5.2009
Venue: Bojnice Castle

Take a trip to see the International Festival of Ghosts and bogeymen at Bojnice Castle. Enjoy its ghostly and entertaining atmosphere. Attracting a huge number of visitors, it is the biggest ghostly event in Slovakia. The ample castle area hosts many different offerings, attractions with a scary atmospehere and good fun, and of course, stands with refreshments and delicacies. Not only „indigenous ghosts“  attend the festival, but also ghosts from the whole of Europe. The festival theme, the stories, the characters and the punchline differ each year.  The climax of the event is a grandiose ghost´s and bogeymen´s pro­cession in Bojnice‘s his­torical town square.
