The Three Musketeers

Bratislava has always been the crossroad of nationalities and tastes, and, at the same time, it has preserved its Slavonic, or, if you want, Slovak character. It is obvious from its cuisine that has preserved its original recipes until today. And now, we are going to introduce one delicacy from a restaurant of the same title as that of the novel of Alexander Dumas The Three Musketeers.

In the restaurant, you can find recipes using mainly Slovak ingredients, with the flavour of European tastes, though. Here we are talking about a restaurant that has been recorded as a fixed star in the Slovak culinary world. And what’s more, it has received an award from our team which only gives it to the best of the best under the title “What the world tastes like.”

Talking about flavours, here you can find a little bit of France, a bit of the surrounding Europe, a bit of the Middle Ages and history, but mainly excellent cuisine of which Alena Brezinová, the chef, is the queen. The whole restaurant is under the command of Daniela Melušová and the rest of the musketeer team also consists mainly of female souls. When you decide to go for the “historical” feast, you will find out that that the serving staff work on a really high standard. Do not be surprised if they wash your hands before the meal or if they tie a napkin for you. It looked like this when people dined in the old times. I will tell you, I would like to go through a similar experience every day. And if you, too, would like to change into a musketeer they can offer you a true period hat pushed into the forehead, and a sword that can peacefully hang down your belt. But do not worry; it is definitely not fighting we are talking about here. With the exception of the fight against the calories; because it is impossible to resist the dishes on offer. If you order “Rochert Anger” it will certainly be served only on a plate: it is a steak of Argentine sirloin with a wonderful mix of seasoning. And how about a Cardinal? Here you will find it in the shape of the so called “Cardinal roll”, which consists of the grilled turkey breast filled with goose liver all wrapped in crispy bacon.
