On 23 February 2009 SK Magazine celebrated the 1st anniversary of its establishment.
Exactly a year ago it was ceremoniously presented on British soil at
the Slovak-British Ball in London organised by Slovak Centre in London. The
first anniversary will always be the first…
Martin Hakel, Director of SK Magazine
The first year is always the hardest; however, I am
convinced that we have managed to get a lot of good work done with the Magazine.
I believe that even though our Magazine is new to the market, we will continue
on the road that we have chosen. I wish to address even more readers this year
and become a true bridge between Slovak and foreign readers. It is with pleasure
that I have this opportunity to inform our dear readers that SK Magazine is
currently entering Irish soil as well, and will also expand to other countries
in future. Since we are planning the early launch of visual and audio support
for our SK Magazine, I believe that we will meet at www.skmagazine.eu soon.
Beata Pašková, Editor-in-chief of SK Magazine
Over the year of the Magazine’s existence we
have truly dealt with many expected and unexpected rigours. Our editorial office
has received a lot of positive feedback, which has confirmed that we are doing
the right things for the right people. SK Magazine has made great progress when
it comes to quality and I hope that we as the producers will be able to
maintain this enthusiasm and that you, our readers, will always find ever new
information in the Magazine about how beautiful and interesting our country is.
Not only ours, though.
Ján Bilik, Director of Art of SK Magazine
As a director responsible for the
Magazine’s overall graphic layout, I would like to say that developing SK
Magazine has moved us all forward. The past year of demanding work has borne its
fruit and I am more than certain that our Magazine has been attracting readers
not only from Slovakia, but also abroad. I hope that in the second round we
will find even more fans and people who can appreciate the progress we have
made.
Dada Mrkvová, Graphic Designer of SK Magazine
Even though preparation of the Magazine has required
a lot of time sacrifice, I am pleased to have been a part of its development.
The work of a graphic designer can be very demanding at times and an artistic
muse is not always at hand, but I have always attempted to make the overall
graphic result attractive to all readers. What do I wish for the most? That the
circle of people who read our product grows continually.
